  The German Ambassador became acquainted with No-Till technology
On May 15, German Ambassador Ms. Monica Leinhard visited Osh region as part of a familiarization tour of projects funded by the Government of Germany. The main focus of the visit was the promotion of No-Till technology and the development of sustainable agriculture under rainfed farming conditions.

In Nookat district, farmers demonstrated the results of applying No-Till technology and showcased the differences compared to traditional plowing on non-irrigated lands.

Benefits of No-Till technology:
helps retain soil moisture in dry conditions;
increases productivity and resilience of farming systems;
improves soil structure and fertility;
reduces environmental impact and CO₂ emissions.

🤝 The Ambassador also ознакомилась with farmer support mechanisms within the “One Window Principle in Agriculture” approach, including access to консультации, mechanization services, production inputs (commodity loans), and essential information.

This phase of the project was implemented by the TES Center Public Foundation with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) project “Green Economy and Sustainable Private Sector Development” during 2023–2025.

GIZ has been supporting the introduction and expansion of No-Till technology in Kyrgyzstan since 2016.
