The international agricultural exhibition and fair “AGRO EXPO–2026” serves as an important platform that provides opportunities for introducing new agricultural technologies, implementing investment solutions, and accessing markets. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov during the opening of the exhibition.

He emphasized that at such forums it is important to move from words to action and adopt practical and useful solutions for farmers.

“For our country, agriculture is not only the foundation of the economy but also the basis of social stability. Therefore, the main task of the state is to create favourable conditions for farmers and ensure accessible irrigation water, high-quality seeds, as well as technical and financial resources,” the minister added.

In conclusion, Erlis Akunbekov stated:
“Our goal is clear: if the country’s agriculture is strong, Kyrgyzstan will be strong.”

Speaking at the forum, the Mayor of Osh Janar Akaev noted that the “AGRO EXPO–2026” exhibition-fair serves as a convenient and effective platform for farmers to exchange experience, establish new partnerships, and attract investment.

The President’s Representative in Osh Region Amankan Kenjebayev emphasized that “AGRO EXPO–2026” is not merely an exhibition, but an initiative aimed at elevating the country’s agriculture to a new level, promoting modern technologies, and strengthening interregional trade relations.

It should be noted that agricultural producers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China participated in the fair held in Osh on March 5–6.

The purpose of the fair is to promote agricultural innovations, climate-adapted technologies, and modern production solutions, strengthen cooperation between farmers and suppliers, and support the development of agribusiness.
