From July 16 to 19, 2024 within the framework of the project “Agrofinance VCD”, a mission of an expert from the Netherlands on field inspection of seed potatoes to Chon-Alai district, Osh oblast took place. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a training workshop on training of local field inspectors. Among the training participants were representatives of district units of the Department of Crop Examination of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Invited experts from the Research Institute of Vegetable and Melon Crops and Potato of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the event. At the initial meeting, plans for future activities and expected results of joint work under the project were discussed. Cooperation with international experts and utilization of best practices will help to establish a quality control and certification system (QCCS) for successful export potential of seed in the Kyrgyz Republic. The project “Value Chain Agrofinance” is co-financed by the European Union, European Investment Bank and KfW.
