  Effective beekeeping management
🐝🍯 One of the main problems of beekeepers in Kyrgyzstan is improper keeping of bees. Honey produced under such conditions is more often than not not laboratory tested and not authorized for export. As a result, the beekeeper's labor is not justified.
🐝🍯 One of the main problems of beekeepers in Kyrgyzstan is improper keeping of bees. Honey produced under such conditions is more often than not not laboratory tested and not authorized for export. As a result, the beekeeper's labor is not justified. We visited Zhailoobai Bektursunov, a resident of Toguz-Bulak village, Tyup district, Issyk-Kul province. He shared with us his method of apiary management, which helps him to successfully develop his business and annually sell honey for export profitably. 📌 Three valuable tips from our hero: 1. Quality insulation of bee boxes. Bees start to get sick when they don't get enough heat. Therefore, Zhailobai additionally insulates the box lid with felt, which helps to maintain the optimal temperature inside the apiary for the development of bee families. 2️. Clean wax. Zhailoobai makes his own beeswax from natural beeswax at home. He recommends beekeepers to use purchased beeswax only from trusted manufacturers, as plastic covered with a thin layer of wax is often found on sale. 3️. Prevention of diseases with medicinal herbs. Jailoobai showed us a stock of medicinal herbs and plants. Wormwood he uses for the treatment and prevention of warratosis. Pine spruce buds collected in February are used to make a decoction for feeding bees, which increases their genetic immunity. 🐝🍯 Read the full story at: https://go.undp.org/4dp
