  New High-Yield Wheat Varieties Showcased
A Field Day was successfully held at the Variety Testing Station in Kalinin village, Kara-Suu District, to demonstrate and promote newly tested, regionally adapted crop varieties developed for local farming conditions and changing climate challenges.

The event brought together farmers, agricultural specialists, and representatives of the agricultural sector, providing them with an opportunity to observe new crop varieties and hybrids directly in the field. Participants also received detailed information about high-yielding, drought-tolerant, and climate-resilient crops that have shown promising performance under local conditions.

The field demonstrations featured:

  •  38 wheat varieties;
  • 13 barley varieties;
  • 44 maize hybrids;
  • 16 cotton varieties;
  • Soil testing plots with 9 barley varieties and 51 wheat varieties.

Participants toured the demonstration plots, exchanged experiences with experts, and actively engaged in question-and-answer discussions. Specialists presented the agronomic characteristics of the showcased varieties, highlighting their productivity, adaptability, and potential benefits for local farmers.

Events like this play an important role in promoting innovative agricultural technologies, expanding the use of improved crop varieties, strengthening collaboration between research and agricultural production, and supporting the sustainable development of the country's agricultural sector and food security.
