A high yield starts with high-quality work done on time!
Agronomists from the TES Centre continue to provide comprehensive support to local farmers. This time, our specialists conducted a thorough assessment of soil preparation and sugar beet sowing in the villages of Ak-Bashat, Aidarbek, and Erktu in the Zhayyl District of the Chui Region.
Our agronomists noted the high level of responsibility of the farmers and gave the following recommendations to achieve maximum yield:
✅️ Use a compactor to a depth of 2.5–3 cm — this treatment creates optimal conditions for uniform seed germination and ensures uniform emergence;
⚠️ Important to remember: Deeper soil cultivation can lead to seeds being buried too deep, which will negatively affect emergence and ultimately reduce yield.
✨️ We are convinced that attention to every detail, starting with soil preparation, plays a decisive role in obtaining a rich harvest of sugar beets," emphasized the leading agronomist of the TES Centre.
The work is being carried out as part of the “Agrofinancing of the Chui Region Sugar Beet VCD” project with the support of KFW.
